Music is the cornerstone for my creative process, not an afterthough. Sound, rhythm, and tone are my first considerations before I touch a camera. Music set the emotional pace, framing, guides the movement, and determines how impactful a moment should be.
“Sometimes all I want is to head West on 20 in a car I can't afford, with a plan I don't have, just me, my music, and the road.”
Many filmmakers leave the music as an afterthought to be added into post. I build with it from the beginning. The song shapes the story. It decides whether we linger on a close up, or cut on a beat. Building a shot around the music instead allows for more creative freedom and better structure.
